‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Why Rory Gibson Is The Ideal Michael Corinthos And His Chemistry With Sasha Is Off The Charts

GENERAL HOSPITAL: Willow Delivers Sasha and Michael's Baby Girl - Michael Fairman TV

‘General Hospital’ (GH) spoilers share that Rory Gibson was the ideal choice to play Michael Corinthos. Gibson arrived on the GH canvas on May 23rd, toward the end of the Nurses Ball.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Rory Gibson’s Version Of Michael Is Darker And Edgier

The actor took over the role after Chad Duell’s exit and has been crushing it since day one. While his persona is much darker and edgier than how Duell portrayed him, it perfectly suits this incarnation of the character.

'General Hospital' Spoilers Willow and Drew have an expression of shock when they see Michael

Michael was severely wronged by his soon-to-be ex-wife, Willow Tait Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen), and his uncle, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).

Willow and Drew carried on a torrid affair and are now embroiled in a nasty court dispute, fighting with Michael for guardianship of Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (Serenity and Sequoia Mork Macko).

The actor transformed Michael’s pain over the loss of his marriage to Willow into power from the moment he returned to Port Charles.

Rory Gibson plays the role of Michael in a much more intense, take-no-BS kind of way. It also doesn’t hurt that he’s easy on the eyes.

Not to mention, Michael’s chemistry with Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson) is off the charts. This writer wasn’t too thrilled with “Masha” 2.0 until Gibson took over the part.

Michael, Sasha, and Daisy Sonny comes to meet his grand daughter

Gibson and Mattsson have chemistry to spare, and now that Michael is divorcing Willow and he and Sasha now have their little Daisy, nothing should stop them from picking up where they left off years ago.

‘General Hospital’ Spoilers: Sasha And Chase Pretended To Cheat On Michael And Willow

Sasha’s unwavering loyalty to Michael has been touching to watch from the time she and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) pretended to cheat on Michael and Willow so that they would come together and raise Wiley.

Wiley’s biological mother, Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier), wasn’t a good person, and everyone wanted to get her away from Wiley.

Ironically, at the time, Willow was seen as an “innocent angel” and a suitable wife for Michael. Sasha had made some mistakes; one of them was pretending to be Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) daughter.

Chase and Sasha concocted the scheme, a scheme in which they acted like they were making out on his couch as Michael walked in. Thus pushing Willow and Michael together.

'General Hospital' Two-Week Spoilers ichael and Willow argue about the children

The plan worked, and Willow and Michael got married. She then adopted Wiley, and eventually, Willow gave birth to their daughter, Amelia.

Sadly, Sasha’s heart was broken, but she still let Michael go. However, it’s clear that the former flames still care deeply for each other, and it shows.

Michael and Sasha may have believed they only shared a drunken one-night stand, but they share so much more than that.

General Hospital Spoilers: It’s Sasha’s Turn To Have A Happy Ending

The insane sacrifices Sasha made for Michael have earned her oodles of good karma and her new baby with Michael.

Michael and Sasha should be the family they always should have been with Wiley, Amelia, and now Daisy. Willow has chosen Drew over her kids, time and time again.

She proved that when she disbelieved Michael’s word when he told her. Wiley overheard Drew say that Michael didn’t want him or Amelia anymore.

Whiley tells Michael what he heard Drew say to Ric

What kind of mother doesn’t even take the time to ask her child about something that serious? If Willow had doubts, she should have asked Wiley instead of accusing Michael of trying to turn her against Drew.

Nothing was more heartwarming than seeing Michael and Sasha beaming in the courtroom when they first met their new little girl. They looked like the cutest little family, with Willow as the odd woman out.

When the dust settles on Michael’s divorce from Willow, he and Sasha should finally be together, as Sasha has always been more than deserving of a happy ending that is for keeps.
