Stephen A. Smith can do it all. The famous ESPN personality can report games and address controversies, and he can also act in a real crime drama.
Smith is gearing up to surprise ‘Law and Order’ fans with his debut in the show’s latest episode. Known for his passionate discussions on ESPN’s ‘First Take,’ Smith is stepping into a whole new world.
At 57 years old, Smith, who has always been a huge fan of the series, took on the role of a sports agent. He’s playing a character who confronts a player about his overwhelming entourage but meets a tragic end and gets stabbed in Central Park.
Viewers seemed genuinely impressed with his performance, showering him with compliments on social media. It’s safe to say he has surprised people with his acting.
“It was crazy to say the least. From the standpoint of knowing who [sports agents] are and how they can be as professionals, I get that because I’ve been in sports journalism for over 30 years, so in that regard, that’s fine,” Stephen A. said.
Interestingly, Smith was initially offered a larger role as a lawyer but decided to go for the sports agent part due to scheduling conflicts. He shared his thoughts on the experience, mentioning that while he has spent over 30 years in sports journalism, acting came with its own set of challenges.

Only Smith knows what’s next for him.
However, since the videos from the series went viral, fans on the internet have praised his acting.
This isn’t Smith’s first time straying into the acting realm, either. He has previously shown off his acting during a few appearances on TV.
He acted in ‘General Hospital,’ where he popped up more than 40 times.
Plus, we can’t forget his roles in films like “I Think I Love My Wife” and “Rumble.” Fans are eagerly waiting to see how he brings his character to life and what surprises are in store for us this evening.
