The new WNBA season is upon us, making way for Caitlin Clark’s second year with the Indiana Fever.

Caitlin Clark Named WNBA Rookie of the Month for September

Last season, Clark made a name for herself as one of the best players in the league, competing alongside some of the best talent, including Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell.

While those three players are widely regarded as the Fever’s most talented assets, much of the attention before the 2025 season has surrounded Caitlin Clark and her bond with Lexie Hull and Sophie Cunningham

Clark played with Hull last season and is now entering her first year competing alongside Cunningham.

As the trio enters the league, fans have given them a collaborative nickname.

“Tres Leches gonna go wild this year,” said one fan.

Indiana Fever and Caitlin Clark fans seem to have formulated the nickname, which fans shared their thoughts on in a recent post on social media.

“they calling caitlin, lexie and sophie tres leches????” said one fan.

“elite, elite nickname,” said another fan.

“I LOVE IT!!!” mentioned one fan.

“That’s kinda cute,” commented one fan.

“I like it!” said one fan.

“When we see this lesson on Duolingo, we’ll know we’ve made it,” said another fan.

The “Tres Leches” will prepare for a game against Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky, opening the new season on May 17 at 3 p.m. ET.

Cunningham is joining the Fever after playing several seasons with the Phoenix Mercury.

She’s entering a tight-knit group, which has been clearly highlighted by Clark and Hull’s relationship on and off the court.
