Whoopi Goldberg has a message to Americans as the November elections loom.

The Sister Act star shared her thoughts on The View Tuesday morning. For their first Hot Topic of the day, the panel discussed Donald Trump choosing JD Vance as his vice presidential candidate after the assassination attempt on Trump’s life this weekend.

Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, Sara Haines, and Alyssa Farah Griffin spoke about how the vice presidential candidate is notoriously far right and has been endorsed as a possible “leader” of Project 2025, a conservative agenda that plans to dismantle the Department of Education and give more power to the president. After they all shared their thoughts, Whoopi took the time to address the audience and viewers at home.

“I’m just going to remind our viewers and folks in the audience – this is not their decision,” she said, referencing the far-right politicians.

She continued: “This decision is your decision. Who you vote for is who you vote for. No network, no group of women, no group of men can tell you what to do. This is in our hands as Americans so whatever it’s going to be, we’ll make that decision.”

She finished her speech with a strong nine-word message: “We’ll live with that decision like it or not.”

This isn’t the first time Whoopi has been vocal about her political thoughts. The comedienne is known for not saying Donald Trump’s name, instead referring to him as “You Know Who.”

She accidentally said his name on the show a few weeks ago, she looked visibly disgusted. Whoopi then stopped herself mid-conversation and pretended to spit sideways on the stage while the audience cheered and co-hosts Sunny and Joy laughed.

Whoopi only previously said his name in May after Trump was convicted of 34 felony counts. “I’m going to say something you’ve never ever heard me say before: Donald John Trump is a convicted felon,” she said
