Fox News Reporter Ambushed on Live TV — What Landed on His Head Left Viewers in Stitches!

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Live television is unpredictable, but no one — especially not Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy — could have guessed what would happen during his segment on Fox & Friends earlier this week.

Doocy was reporting live from the White House lawn on April 11, 2025, covering President Trump’s new tariff proposal, when an unexpected “guest” decided to crash the scene — a pigeon. And not just any pigeon, but one with a flair for drama.

Mid-sentence, viewers watched as the bird swooped down and landed directly on Doocy’s head. For a moment, Doocy froze in place, visibly processing what had just happened, before ducking in surprise. But the pigeon wasn’t done yet — it circled back, as if looking for a second act.

The Fox & Friends hosts — Ainsley Earhardt, Lawrence Jones, and Brian Kilmeade — couldn’t hold back their laughter.

“Is that part of Biden’s climate plan?” Kilmeade quipped.
“Maybe it just wanted to be famous,” Earhardt joked.

Doocy, always the professional, managed to keep a straight face — at first.

“Well, I guess we now know how the birds feel about tariffs,” he laughed, brushing off his blazer. “Hope I don’t need a tetanus shot.”

He later took to X (formerly Twitter) to share a clip of the moment with the caption: “Breaking: Birds against inflation?” The post quickly racked up over 4 million views, with users calling it “the best live moment in weeks.”

Social media exploded with memes of the incident, from “Birds for Biden” slogans to mock interviews with the pigeon. Even animal accounts chimed in, one tweet reading: “We, the Pigeon Party, claim responsibility.”

Some users noted that Doocy’s cool response made the moment even better:

“He handled it like a champ. 10/10 professionalism with just enough panic,” one commenter said.

This isn’t the first time animals have upstaged the news. Over the years, live broadcasts have featured everything from squirrels stealing the spotlight to dogs interrupting weather reports. But this may be the first time a pigeon tried to co-anchor political coverage.

As for Doocy, he’s taking it in stride. In a later appearance on Fox News, he laughed, “Next time, I’m bringing a helmet — or at least birdseed, just in case.”

So while the policy debate continues in Washington, viewers at home got something arguably better than a budget plan: a brief, hilarious reminder that sometimes, the news is for the birds.
