Indiana Fever fans cannot stop their disdain for Angel Reese.
The WNBA said it was investigating reports of “hateful” abuse directed towards her during the Chicago Sky’s loss to the Indiana Fever on Saturday.
With 4:38 remaining in the third quarter, Reese claimed an offensive rebound and was driving towards the basket when Indiana star Caitlin Clark made hard contact with her right arm, which would send her down to the ground.
Reese, clearly upset, got straight back to her feet and tried to confront the 2024 Rookie of the Year, who walked away while Indiana’s Aliyah Boston stepped between the two.
Clark’s foul was upgraded from a personal to a flagrant 1, while Reese and Boston each received technical fouls.
When stepping to the foul line, the opposing crowd mercilessly booed Angel Reese.
It remains to be seen whether somebody said something derogatory, but what cannot be denied is how some fans feel about her.
Outside of Gainbridge Fieldhouse, someone asked Fever fans to use one word to describe Reese.
The following words were used to describe Angel Reese: “Bit-h, mid, ghetto, trash, garbage, fearless, bricklayer, attitude, brickbarbie, and ghetto once again.

Angel Reese expressed a desire to “move on” after a flagrant foul by Caitlin Clark during the Chicago Sky’s season opener, stating that the refs “got it right”.
It all began when Reese got a rebound and drove toward the hoop. Clark prevented her from getting a shot up with a hard foul that knocked Reese to the floor.
“Let’s not make it something that it’s not,” Clark said.
Reese did not appreciate the foul at the time but was ready to move on from it after the game.
“Basketball play, refs got it right, move on,” Reese said.
