Cameras caught Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark presenting head coach Stephanie White with a special gift on the bench during Tuesday’s game against the Washington Mystics.
On May 26, the Fever announced that Caitlin Clark would miss at least two weeks with a left quadriceps strain. Clark suffered the injury during Indiana’s May 24 home game against the New York Liberty and has missed the last three contests.
With Clark on the sidelines for Tuesday’s tilt, she decided to show her gratitude toward Coach White by presenting her with a friendship bracelet. And it fit perfectly!
Caitlin: I think you need this for a good luck charm. *hands over friendship bracelet* There you go
Steph: I had one…and it fell off

White may want to continue wearing that as a good luck charm, because Indiana won 85-76 to snap a three-game losing streak. Kelsey Mitchell led the way for Indiana with 24 points, with Lexie Hull (14 points) and Aliyah Boston (10 points) also recording double-digit points.
Indiana moved to 3-4 on the season, while Washington fell to 3-5. If the two-week timeline is accurate, Caitlin Clark will hopefully return for next Tuesday’s road game against the Atlanta Dream. The Fever will visit Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Saturday at the United Center.
The 47-year-old White is in her second stint as head coach of the Fever. She coached the team in 2015 and 2016 before spending the next five years as the HC of the Vanderbilt women’s basketball team. White coached the Connecticut Sun in 2023 and 2024 before coming back to Indiana.

Before her injury, the 23-year-old Clark was off to an incredible start for Indiana. The No. 1 pick of 2024 averaged 19 points, six rebounds and 9.3 assists over her first cour contests of 2025.
Expectations are through the roof for Clark after a historic 2024 campaign that saw her claim 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year honors. She also earned All-WNBA First Team and 2024 All-Star selections.
