Caitlin Clark is having a rough start to her second season in the WNBA.
Prior to her time in the WNBA, she last missed a game during her sophomore year of high school. Now, she is getting ready to miss at least her sixth contest.
Clark will miss the Indiana Fever’s game against the Los Angeles Sparks due to a left groin injury.
Now, social media is pinpointing the exact moment the star guard may have known something was wrong with her body.
With 12 seconds to play in the game and the result already determined, Clark could be seen grabbing at the area as she began to walk gingerly.
Caitlin Clark missed five straight games earlier this season with a left quad strain, then returned to the team against the New York Liberty on June 14.

The team announced that Caitlin Clark is out with a left groin injury and will not play for the Fever in their matchup with the Sparks on Thursday.
It was an announcement that shocked everyone.
Head coach Steph White told reporters that the All-Star point guard reported pain to the training staff on Wednesday night and then got an MRI on her groin.
“Late last night,” White said when asked when she found out about Clark’s groin injury, per an X post from Chloe Peterson of IndyStar.
“I think it’s very much a day-to-day thing, how she responds to treatment. I like to stay in my lane and let our strength and conditioning and our [athletic training] staff do what they do best. But yeah, found out late last night, and then we’ll treat it day-to-day.”
When asked whether the Fever having back-to-back games played a role in this injury designation, White said, “I don’t know that it’s a factor from a physical standpoint, from an athletic training standpoint. Certainly in my mind it is, but at the same time, [Caitlin] has been shown that she’s tough and she’s a quick healer, so we’ll see.”
White later added that Clark had to have reported the injury on Wednesday because that’s when she had an MRI.
