Angel Reese was back at the 2025 Met Gala in New York on Monday night, making her second-straight appearance at the annual star-studded event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Reese was one of the celebrities included in the Met Gala’s host committee this year, which helped plan the event. She first made waves in 2024 when she attended the Met Gala for the first time and then played in a Sky preseason game less than 24 hours later.
This year’s Met Gala theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and Reese showed up and showed out.
Angel Reese, who has become one of the WNBA’s biggest fashion icons since entering the league in 2024, entered the Met Gala wearing a black and white outfit that can only be described as iconic.
The 6-foot-3 Sky forward turned heads with a high-end black-and-white getup on the “blue” carpet at The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

It was reported on May 5 that the Chicago Sky superstar missed her team’s practice on Monday in order to attend the 2025 Met Gala in New York City.
Sky head coach Tyler Marsh was not upset with the situation as he showed his support of Reese’s decision by saying, “She communicated to her teammates that she would be [at the Met Gala], and as an organization, we’re in support of everyone on and off the court. It’s a great experience, a great opportunity for her, and we’re in support of it.”
Reese is beginning her second season with the WNBA’s Chicago Sky after a decorated college career that began at Maryland and ended with a national championship at LSU in 2023.
Her first year was filled with more ups than downs. The biggest down was her season ending early due to injury.
Her ups included:
WNBA All-Star as rookie
Led the WNBA in rebounding as a rookie (13.1 per game)
Broke WNBA record with 15-straight double-doubles as rookie
Broke WNBA single-season record for rebounds as a rookie
